Device Descriptor Failed on ST30R

I have an EMP ST30R that keeps disconnecting from the laptop when i run a power level over 55%. In computer management the driver changes to unknown usb Device Descriptor Failed. I have tired different usb cables and even outlets.
The only way to get it working again is to power the laser down and back up. I am running lightburn on win11.

Any ideas?

I wonder of the voltage at the controller is dropping when the fiber source starts to draw more current?

If the shared power source is not regulating the voltage properly, this might cause the kind of instability that could affect communications.
