Device recognized but not connecting

I have a Acmer S1 3.5w laser . Running 15.1.1 Sequoia. On MacBook …Lightburn 1.7.03. The device is recognized but will not connect. I have unplugged Re plugged restarted both computer and software. Tried different usb cable. It ran ok 2 days ago but now… nothing. Any ideas? Thanks

Try restarting the laser machine also.

What options do you see in the ports dropdown list?

When you select the correct port you should see activity in the Console Window…something like this for example;
