Why the difference in letters? Same file, same type of wood, Baltic Birch plywood, same speed/power settings. I have the YoraHome 6550-PRO with the 40 watt laser.
The one burn has been sealed however there is a big difference in quality.

By logic it would be due to different quality wood. As you are using the same laser with the same settings, the only variable is the wood. Maybe you even have a sheet that has been surface treated?
two sheets of baltic birch can be VERY different from each other.
Also - I would increase the letter spacing to disconnect the Y from the M
Thank you Runfel. I wondered about it being the wood after I posted topic. The Army is in an image and I don’t think it will let me edit it but I’ll check.
