Different materials list of suggested speeds & Powers

Hi again.
probably getting close to wearing out my welcome…
I just purchased the following.
50Pcs Plate Blank Laser Mark Impressive Blanks Metal Business Cards Aluminum Plaque Engraved Metal Plate Etching Sheets Multiple Colors(Black)
I’ve done a few runs to test on one, but not getting very far, I got text but not quite what I thought I would see. As it’s a painted metal I thought the laser would burn off the paint. Leaving the metal below shows. I’m getting Brown text on the black surface.
Is there a list of suggested values for speed and power for the various types of material used?

If not can anyone suggest values for a 15w laser (CNC 3018)

A1. No currently no , I am having problems with coordinates.
A2. Fairly random, I have notes on some woods and some cards/papers

Where do I find a Macro for doing the test scale?

Thanks for the link, very useful.
I’ll have to be getting some supplies in at the rate I’m going through scraps haha
I’ll do a bit of testing them make up a personal set for materials I use.
Thank goodness for spoilboards or I’d have a very pitted table.
