Diode cutting gold laminate acrylic

I am trying to cut a gold on black laminate acrylic sheet, this engraves the gold to show the black easily. The problem I am having is cutting, the actual cutting is good. But the cutting is leaving a ragged edge on the gold surface edges that looks like bubbling. Has any one had any success cutting gold on black laminate acrylic. am I wasting my time or do I need to keep trying???

Try flipping the sheet around and cut from the “back”. Another option is to try reduce the power and increase passes. Also, make sure you have air-assist on!

I have found a method for cutting this laminate, but it is very slow I do not think I will be doing many projects with this type of material. I first had to cut the profile with an offset of plus and minus 0.1mm either side of the cut line, this took 3 passes at 500mm/min at 5% of my falcon CR 10w laser, this was as low as I could go as my laser does not turn on until 5% and if I did the passes at anything higher the material bubbled. I then had to make numerous passes on the cut line at 500 mm/min @ 9%.. For my material at 1.3mm thick this takes 25 passes.

Hope this is of help to anyone else trying this, or maybe a basis to find a better cutting method.
