Hi all… I started recently try cnc Router with laser diode on it… Would love to know how it’s better to work with the diode?
It’s better to do higher speed and stronger power? Or lower speed with lower power?
If you’re cutting things, it’s usually better to go slow but strong power. If you’re engraving, you’ll probably be in the middle of both power and speed.
So I should use 40-60% power and use speed compare to this power for engraving?
Well I think for diodes, you can safely push to 100% power. Don’t quote me though, I have next to no experience with them. Perhaps there are some recommendations from where you purchased it?
I have been told before that it’s not good for diode to run so quick because it’s damaging the laser so I confuse lol
