Distorted text - but only some letters?

Does anyone have a fix for any of these 3 issues I have here? Thanks

These are the issues I am having now. Monport K40 CO2 laser.
(1) Why are the 4 green highlighted texts distorted like they are , but the rest of the print came out fine?
(2) Why is the Bi-directional acting incorrectly?
(3) Why is the Crosshatch acting incorrectly?

It is a 3mm thick white acrylic with two coats of black paint that is being removed by the laser.

The LightBurn settings were as follows:
Speed 900
Power 26%
Bi-directional OFF

  • Bi-directional is off because when it is on, it produces a “ghost” texting slightly to the left or right of the original text (horizontally displaced)
    Crosshatch OFF
  • I have to turn Crosshatch OFF because when it is on, it produces a ”ghost” texting
that is vertically displaced slightly above or below the original text.
    Overscan .5 %
    2 passes

The mirrors are set and everything is calibrated, including a ramp test to set correct height.

They all look like USB communication problems trashing a few commands every now and then.

Some earlier discussions shed light on the problem:

Because it’s a K40 machine, it probably does not have the ability to use an Ethernet connection, which tends to be far more reliable than USB.

Fix those by measuring and setting the Scanning Offset Adjustment at a variety of speeds:
