Hi, I’m trying to etch a circular logo onto a tapered beer glass. My setup is shown in the attached picture. What I’m getting is that the circle is being stretched in the X direction ie height is 50 mm but width is 54 mm. I’m not sure how this is coming about. Engraving the same file on a flat surface or on a glass with parallel sides has no problem. I made sure the upper surface of the beer glass is parallel to the rotary rollers and I can’t work out if this is a software or hardware issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have an order I’m trying to fulfil.
Cheers, Tig
Take a look at this video that explains how to get better round logos on tapered glasses. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SV3Zfqnhyag
Check out Taper Warp in the Laser Tools window in the 1.5.01 Lightburn version.
Hi Mike, I hadn’t noticed that, thanks! Going to try it now and see what happens
Thanks Luis, i watched the video and it seems that Lightburn may have added an automated version of this in 1.51. Thanks again for the feedback.
