Does save GCode include power and speeds?

HI I’ve got an Atomstack X7 and want to use the SD card function, as my PC is not near my laser, if I save to SD card does the GCode include the settings for power and speed I set in the layers tabs or is it just XY coordinates?

G-code contains movement commands, including speeds and positions/locations. G-code also contains on/off commands along with the appropriate power settings as created by the software, in this case LightBurn. If you do a 'net search on g-code, you’ll find that the information is very easily read by an ordinary human, as each command has a specific letter combination assigned to each task.

hummm… odd, when I save the GCode to the SD card the machine just seems to burn at 100% speed and 100% output on the laser unless I adjust, am I doing something wrong?

My code clearly contains the feed and power settings!

What are your machine values for GRBL $30, $31, $32? Based on the gcode these should be 1000, 0, 1 respectively.

How are you determining this? And what do you mean by 100% speed? What happens if you specify lower speeds and power?

Ah I’m dumb, I made a few test files and it is doing what it should, the controller on the machine say Speed 100% and power 100% I was thinking it was doing that, but no its as per the GCode file.

thanks

Ah… all good then. I think the 100% for speed and power that the machine display is showing is relative to initial settings for the job. So if you wanted to adjust in realtime you could adjust speed up or down relative to that initial 100%.
