Does the Gweike M-Series work with Lightburn?

I have an M3 Ultra and the software that came with the machine, Mlaser, is lacking quite a lot of features I need for work. I have tried identifying the machine through Lightburn, which failed, and I do not know if I can manually add it because I do not know how to identify the controller that the M3 uses.
So, how do I get Lightburn and the CO2 laser on the M3 to connect? Has anyone had similar issues?

Hi David, LightBurn does not support the M-series machines at this time. We do want to support it, and to that end have acquired one of the machines - when we have available bandwidth we’ll be taking a closer look to understand the development work required. We don’t have a timeline for that work that we can share.

Hi David, the original software is terrible, but beyond CO2, I’d love for Lightburn to allow the use of their software for cutting metal with fiberglass! That would be fantastic!

This is a new process to me. Can you explain how it works?

Probably just fiber source

Thank you for letting me know Colin. I appreciate it, and look forward to being able to use Lightburn again in the future!

Whaou, fantastic, i love you ^^
In waiting time cause our soft is an disaster !
Please, leave when you want !
Thank you veru very much

Hello Coplin, yes, it’s a fiber optic power source. It’s actually an 800W or 1200W machine, depending on the model, which is then fed to a CNC cutting table via the power source’s gun (which allows, among other things, cutting, welding, and rust removal on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum).

The problem is that the software is really awful, if I may say so. It would be fantastic if you could do something about it.
The strength of Xtool on their equivalent model (Matela Fab) is the software, which manages everything incredibly well. On the Gweile we’re talking about, it’s truly catastrophic, even though the machine itself is absolutely brilliant.
It would also be great if we could manage the automatic positioning of parts, like on the Xtool, using a camera (okay, I’m dreaming a bit here), but if you could create that in the future, you’d be amazing.

By the way, thank you for the upcoming version 2.1 with automatic part nesting management. This has been a long time coming and was sorely lacking. You can warmly congratulate your teams; all CNC owners will be thrilled.

Best regards
