Double Line not shown in file

Wave piece 1.lbrn (30.1 KB)

Just did my first cut with my Atomstack S10 Pro, still own the A5 Pro. I am attaching the file as well as pictures of the cuts. I cut the same identical piece with my A5 Pro and the double line did not appear. Can you help me with what might be causing this. Thanks so much!

Your lightburn file looks fine. I looked at the top line in node edit and it looked fine.

Maybe there is someone here with those machines that can help…

Good luck

You’re probably losing steps some time between your 1st and 2nd pass. So the 2nd pass is not aligned with the 1st.

If I had to guess I’d say your pulley on the stepper for the Y-axis is slipping on the stepper shaft. Check that it’s not loose. There is a grub screw that secures the pulley to the shaft, make sure it’s tight against the flat portion of the shaft.

If you don’t notice any issue with the pulleys triple-check belt tightness. There should be no noticeable slack, taught but not stretched.

If you look closely, the corner that is doubled, the vertical line looks doubled.

Did you notice this or any extra movements during the burn?

Thanks everyone. Love the great support on this forum. I think I’ve got it figured out.

What did the problem end up being?

If People do not report back with the solution, no matter how simple it is, then the efforts of those who try to help are meaningless. Remember this is not a professional service department of LightBurn, we are normal users who help each other because we all want to get better at working with our laser machines.

So actually there was not a double line and everything looks perfect with the file. After trying another cut everything worked fine. The only thing we can think of is that the cat jumped up on the table near the machine and somehow the bumped the machine throwing it off track a bit. Thanks everyone for the help!

Just as an FYI… not sure what your setup is with the laser but keep in mind that the safety concerns with humans also applies to your pets. If they are in sight of the laser beam then it will damage their eyes. May want to take some precautions if you haven’t already done so.
