Downgrade version 2.0.02 to 1.6

Hello all

I have recently become involved with a charitable organisation using an XTOOL D1 laser.

Our laptop was running successfully with version 1.6 but was upgraded to version 2.0.02. Unfortunately our license is for version 1.6 and when trying to run Lightburn we now get a message saying ‘This version of LightBurn was released after your license expired.’ and ‘You will need to renew your license to use it, or revert to an older version’. I assume from this that the license we have for version 1.6 will not allow us to use version 2.0.02. We will, when we can get organised, purchase a license for 2.0.02 for another laptop but my main concern at the moment i to get the original laptop working again.

Can anyone advise me if it is possible to revert version 2.0.02 back to version 1.6 or will I have to remove Lightburn completely and restart with version 1.6?

I would be grateful if anyone could take pity on a complete beginner and help me resolve the problems we are having.

Thanks

Andrew Gray

You can revert to any previous release from the link below:

Just for information, you permanently own the license, which includes one year of updates, and it can be installed on 3 different computer at a time.. There is a small yearly fee if you wish to be able to access the latest versions. All of the terms of the license are laid out here:

When you get organized, you do not need to buy a whole new license, it’s currently a $30 fee for one year of updates, which means you can install and run any version released during the year you pay for updates. The year of updates can be purchased here:
