Drawing line offset

Hi:
How can I offset a single line to get a single line x distance from the selected line without it forming an oval closed entity.

Thanks

Is duplicating the line and moving it an option?

A screenshot would be useful to see what you’re dealing with.

You can duplicate it and move it with the distance you want.
An offset of a single line does not work, there will always be a closed shape as a result.

Thanks that could work, because after creating a duplicate, could just enter into the Xpos box the existing number + the amount I need offset
I’m so used to a line offset like in a CAD application, but I guess that is the best we can do.

LightBurn does not have a parametric model. It’s closer to an illustration program from that perspective.
