i have a dual diode with a prism and its been fine up to today but its now lost all its burning power. Now I have no knowledge about this machine other than its board is a Cronos Maker, and the diodes are 20w dual prism probably 10w optical. Custom made by Nova Robotics in Birmingham UK.
If you haven’t changed anything, but something has changed, it’s likely a hardware problem.
Perhaps one of the diodes has failed and it’s now limping along at half power?
Which suggests you have a one-off machine that makes advice based on any other machine pretty much irrelevant. If Nova doesn’t have offer troubleshooting advice, it’s gonna be a long slog.
Worse, if you need a replacement part, nobody will have it …
All of the multiple led type heads usually require special equipment to align them properly. The more diodes, the more critical and sensitive to adjustment.
I don’t think, even with a replacement part, you could really get it aligned properly.
Your laser module is probably toast. However dual diode (10w optical) modules are easy enough to find. I have one from NEJE that sells for less than $150. It should be relatively straight forward to swap them out. If your ok with doing a little wiring
