I purchased a file on ETSY and when I try and run it, I get this issue. I kinda know what it is but when it says show me, it doesn’t show me anything. It’s just highlights an area but it doesn’t really show anything. Possibly there should be another option to delete duplicates on same layer, or something like that. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I just don’t understand it. When I try to cut a specific layer that would normally take one minute, it takes 15 to 20 because it just barely moves a wee wee bit - laser fires, moves another wee wee bit, fires, moves another wee wee bit almost like a half a millimeter or something. Any help again be greatly appreciated
Purchased files can sometimes be a challenge. But in order to help you, you will need to upload the file or part of it with the error here.
Click the Show Me button, then the duplicates will be selected. Click the delete key to remove them.

The selection includes all the duplicated shapes, so if you hit Del they’ll all Go Away.
Which may not be the correct thing to do with them. Instead, you could move the entire selection to another place in the layout for safekeeping and decide if the non-duplicated shapes (whatever’s left after removing the dupes) are what you want to use.
You can also select & delete the duplicates before you Fire The Laser:
