You can see by the photo. Only the middle has been duped, this was supposed to abcd only, it should only be 4 characters, not 6. It is like it brought in the first and last letters and added to the middle. I am using light burn with a Omtech 50w. Nozzle is tight, belts are good. Was working great last time I used it.
The original file was “abcdcd”?
Looks to me like it was “abcd” and the entire string was shifted & duped
abcd. all files I am trying are doing the same thing. I have tried Alt d and it says there is not dupes
If this previously worked fine then this is almost certainly going to be a mechanical issue.
Check that pinion gear for X-axis is properly secured. It’s likely that this is loose and is spinning on the stepper shaft. You say that belts are good but double check tension. Focus on X-axis but I’d suggest a full mechanical review of your machine.

Thing seems tight nothing will not slip or move. This was supposed to only be one a and it created 2.
I’m almost certain this is a scanning offset but let’s confirm.
Create a moderately sized square. Set to Fill and line interval to 1mm with bidirectional scanning. Then burn.
What is the result?
reset my offsets and fixed it, not sure how they got so out of adjustment.
