Dwell points Longer B1 30

Longer B1 30 LB 1.06.03 Dwell in corners problem. Even at SLOW speed of 500 … Also, after a speed of 2000 mm per minute, as you can see from the samples it is not speeding up, the linewith is not decreasing, and additionally as a witness it is not going any faster. Those are the two issues I have besides the wiggle, which starts to come in around 2000.


Not only in the corners but at other select and repeated points.

It looks like it’s dynamically lowering the power to make the corner…

I don’t know if this is something the controller is doing or it’s being told to do. Setting it to constant power may have an effect on that…

Give some others that have a these a chance to speak up…

I do notice wiggly lines, this is mechanical …

I do not have your type of controller, but I am going to venture some guesses.
Variable power means it reduces when the laser slows down. If your minimum power value is too low, it may shut off before the laser stops to change direction.

How fast it speeds up after a direction change is controlled by the Acceleration setting. If this setting is low, it may not reach full speed before the next direction change.

This can be cause my a loose frame, gantry, or more likely a loose laser head mounting or mounting to the trolley (that part that moves back and forth in the Xaxis direction).
Laser head mounted on the trolley, trolley mounted on the gantry, gantry mounted on the frame. Hopefully frame mounted on the table.

Another clue it is loose mechanically.

B b So used to Galvo systems, accel/decel, long traverse timing, all those timers … Anyway on small detail/ lettering, the gantry unit cannot accomplish its programmed speed, neither can it maintain it well through a corner … in general for gantry delivery versus galvo. . . . SO, dismiss the speed comment I made. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ #2 On the dots, NOT gaps or less power, those are dwell holes from inconsistent speed, other tortured areas are where a “reposition” long distance beam is coming into a new “mark” location, here I witness some really excessive burning/dwelling (like at the top of the B middle and the R and here’s a good worst case new pic the"C". ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ #3.The wiggle, yes just mechanics corrected.
