When importing DXF circles, we find that Lightburn imports the file and instead of a circle there are lines joined, not a perfect circle and when engraving the result is more like a hexagon type finish with flat edges, anyone know if this is a glitch in lightburn or just us?
If I remember correctly. DXF files are a bunch of lines to make up a circle.
Probably the resolution from what it was exported from makes a difference.
When exporting DXF, the settings are Export version autocad 2007 - 2021, and export curves are polycurves. When we import the dxf file into Lightburn we do not get a curved circle. I do not think you can modify the resolution, but thank you for trying to help.
Can you upload an example DXF file to have a look at? I’ve just tested (using a DraftSight generated file) and all looks good here.
