Yup. Config-set sd gamma_step_pin 2.3 etc. etc.
I previously set the gamma variables correctly for the motor, along with the speeds. There’s just no response at those pin designations for whatever reason.
At this point I’m going to try and get a refund and switch to the C3D. I should have bought it in the first place, but didn’t like their lack of a return policy.
It turns out the “config-get” bug isn’t unique to the K40+ controller. The same bug happened with my new Cohesion3D board.
But getting the Z table to work was easy with the C3D without using an external stepper driver. It seems the K40+ might be able to do it with a stepper driver, but I’m going to stick with the C3D for now.

Wow, what a rollercoaster. But glad you got it sorted out. So I guess avoid the K40+ if you want to use Z or repurpose E?
