Easy Power Test - Alternative

The easiest way to see your machine’s power curve is to use a thick acrylic block and shoot pulses into it. It is a very visible process.
Set the machine to 2000 ms or higher pulse time and make a power interval from 40-80% in 5% steps. (you can also do the big test from 10-100% in steps of 10…)
If you don’t have acrylic of this thickness, then you just use slices of wood. I prefer soft wood/plywood because it reflects the effect better.
For the most detailed result, thin discs must be used, but in principle anything can be used.

In my example I have used 3.65mm poplar plywood, 2000ms and 50%, 60% and 70%.
At the sixth disc there is no more penetration at 60% and 70%. As I said, the test can be refined, but I already know where my machine’s maximum effect is
