EDIT! Alignment not framing correctly

Sorry before this edit i was referring to it not masking correctly but what i meant was when i click frame it does not work correctly. having trouble with the alignment. I did the lens calibration and that seems to go smooth but when it comes to the alignment its not working. I have a Boss HP3655 while in the alignment settings i click Frame and it does not create a box in the center. it creates a box more towards the bottom of the bed. Also it gives you the ability to control the laser head movent through the calibration and my laser head will not go all the way tp the left side of the bed. it will only come to about 1 1/2 ft away from it. Im new to this so please let me know if i am missing something. Thanks in return! :+1:

Hi @Ddob408 ! Regarding the alignment problem, it could be that the origin of your machine isn’t set correctly. If the box isn’t appearing in the center as expected, it might be because the software isn’t detecting the correct home position. You may want to check if your machine’s home position or the zeroing process is properly configured

As for the issue with the laser head not moving all the way to the left side, this could be a limit switch or software setting problem. Sometimes, the laser head might not be able to reach the full range because of physical limiters or settings that restrict the movement. I’d recommend checking your machine’s manual to make sure you’re not hitting any hardware stops, and also doublecheck the movement limits in LightBurn

Lastly, it could also be a simple connection issue. I’ve had similar problems in the past, and re-calibrating the connection between the machine and software worked for me
Good luck with it!

Thanks for the reply @Frond194. I set the origin at the center but it ignores it. As soon as i select mask it jogs towards the bottom and does the box down there and then goes back to the center. Outside of doing the alignment using the origin works just fine.

Also outside of doing this alignment calibration my leaser head does not have any issues with covering the entire work space.

How do you like your Boss HP-3655. Looking to purchase one for work.

@sguff this is the first and only laser i have ever had. Ive only had it for a couple weeks so havent used it a whole lot yet but so far im liking it. Its just going to take some time to learn the ins and outs of it. Check back in with me in about 2 months

I will do that. Are you using for personal or business related
