hi I have eleksmaker mega … with grbl 1.1 firmware … which setting you have to make, and how … 255 or 1000 it is 30 or 32
$30 is the setting you’re asking about. The number doesn’t matter much, as long as both LightBurn and GRBL agree on what it is.
Edit > Device Settings, then S-Value Max is the LightBurn setting, and $30 is the GRBL one.
and can you tell me how I see what is set now?

Oz is showing the ‘Basic Settings’ tab on the 'Device Settings page exposed by clicking the ‘spanner/screwdriver’ icon found near the top-center of LightBurn main screen. 
my problem was / is that I didn’t know that you have to put 2x $$ into the console so that I can see the values of what grbl 1.1 has
So is $ 30 = 255 that important? and how can i set it to 1000?

Working from any “console” type interface to your firmware settings can be weird and takes time to become comfortable using this approach. LightBurn provides a different interface to these firmware settings by selecting ‘Edit’→’Machine Settings’. This interface might be a bit easier to review and adjust as needed. That is our intent anyway.

On GRBL, you can also use Edit > Machine Settings to view and modify the settings in a UI instead of the console, and the settings are described there (a little).
