I have a MacBook Pro and an Elidor laser printer…the LightBurn program says it is not connected or busy,…it has never been connected…what am I missing?

There is a known driver conflict between the virtual serial port driver that ships as part of MacOS and the FTDI driver used by the Ruida USB chip.
For this reason, we recommend connecting with an Ethernet cable if you can, or going through the procedure linked in the post above to resolve the driver conflict.
I’ve got a MacBook pro and couldn’t communicate with my Ruida over USB or ethernet. Read everything I could find, tried everything (including 3 different USB cables), nothing worked. Ready to try a USB thumbdrive, and found my Mac couldn’t recognize my thumbdrives… aha!
It was a problem with my Mac. Did a reset by holding down the power button for 5 seconds. When it restarted it could read my thumb drives and LightBurn could communicate with laser no problem. I’m in business.
