Eliminate border line when doing a trace of image

I am doing a trace of a old map image and it does a border outline around the job. Is there any way to remove that line?

I think you can select to ungroup, then select and delete the boarder.

That is how I usually get rid of it…

Select all, ungroup, click on the object to delete. It should be the only thing active or flashing.
For other items once your project is ungrouped. I zoom in which helps isolate a particular object to be deleted.
