This past week I went back to engraving tumblers using my Ortur lm3 with their chuck rotary after 5 months The file size is 60 x 30 and when I frame the size is ok The end product comes out as 170 x 15. When I use the same file to engrave plywood everything is fine. I have tried both 98 and 120 rotations. They came out the same. I have loaded the laser from my pc and well as 2 laptops and get the same results. I also have a second OLM3 and I used it with the same rotary and get the same results.
Did you remember to ENABLE ROTARY?
Yes, I just doubled checked
Did you remember to set the diameter of the piece under the Configure Rotary tab?
Did you test for one full rotation?
yes, all that is done and double checked
You are talking about the tab where you turn on the rotary etc?
I should mention that when I engraved using the same laser and chuck 5 months ago everything worked fine
Upgrades seem to mess with rotary settings, one thing to try is go back to configuration from 5 months ago and see if that makes a difference. I only know about fiber lasers but assume same is available for others.

Just came to realize that I have been having senior moments over this for the past week. I was sure that I had turned on “enable rotary” but I guess I did not. Thanks for everyone help!
