Can anyone tell me if this is normal? I know the beam is not a sqaure but it seems to me to be too much
Atomstack a24 pro. It is supposed to be .06 x.08
Is there anyone out there who is willing to replicate the test?
Thank you in advance

It’s hard to tell from that picture, maybe reduce power and show it again. 0.06x0.08 is only advertisement, no laser head above 5W will really reach this. If it’s a 20W laser head, expect it to be something like 0.12x0.15 or sow.
Check out @Bulldog engravings … does great work with his $1k laser module. It’s 5W, not above.
thank you for your comments.
My issue is not the size of the beam bat the ratio between vertical and horizontal.
I have improved the result somewhat with a new mounting plate. The laser was mounted slightly diagonal, making it shoot not straight down.
a little better now but not completely.
Is there an aftermarket for improved lenses in an “affordable” price range?
I’m having a similar issue with the AtomStack A24 Pro. In one of my last tests, I took the laser head off the rail completely and made sure it was perfectly centered, just to rule out any mounting problems. But the issue is still there. What I’m seeing is a stretched, deformed laser spot. So it’s clearly not about how it’s mounted, at least in my case.
AtomStack keeps denying there’s anything wrong and refuses to send a replacement, which is really frustrating.
I’ve shared more details and photos in my thread here:
