I’m returning to my Emblaser Core after it has sat idle for a couple of years (dry, temperature controlled storage). Everything seems fine, except that the laser seems to be limited to a very low power setting (like 5-10% at most). I’ve gone through the lens cleaning and focus calibration procedures, but I’m pretty sure it’s not either of those. It’s as if some limit has been set, or a “test mode” has been engaged. Possibly by me last time I used the machine, but my memory isn’t what it was. I can’t for the life of me find where the setting is. Power is set to 100% in the Cuts/Layers dialogue. Where else should I be looking? TIA
Since no one on the forum can see what your settings are, please post a screenshot (not a cell phone pic) of your entire Lightburn screen with your project loaded and the Cuts/Layers Panel and Laser Panel visible. Also post a screenshot of the Settings Window (Gears icon) with the Editor Settings tab visible and post a screenshot of the Device Settings Window (Wrench and Screwdriver icon) with Dimensions/Units tab and also Basic Settings tab. i may ask for other things, but this is a good start.
Thanks for the reply. Here are the requested screenshots. The project is very simple. Just a small, annular ring. The laser follows it OK, just not powered up beyond “visible dot”.

I was half expecting to see your speed at mm/sec., which is a common issue that presents like you describe.
I see the 12mm support setting. That makes me assume this has auto focus. Are you certain focus is set correctly? Otherwise I don’t see a problem. Maybe someone else does.
Also check if Lightburn S-Value Max match laser $30.
I do see Beginner Mode is selected.
