Hello, I am having an issue with lightburn.
I am using an old version of lightburn 9.1 I believe, and that works fine for me.
A long time ago when I upgraded to a new version of lightburn, I had problems. The engrave and cut would be all wonky. That was on my aeon mira 7 60W. So I switched back to the old version and have used that ever since without trying to figure out what the issue was.
I bought a new machine, aeon Nova 16, 100 W. and also a new computer, so I thought I would up upgrade to the newest lightburn verion thinking maybe everything would work this time. I had the exact same thing happen. I"m just not getting it, I cant figure out where or what is going wrong? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I will attach a photo of the last engrave attempt.
Thank you,
Tracy
Using technical terms like this, is difficult for me to figure out what is wrong… Can you elaborate on the finished product and what you expect… I know you know, I need some clarification…
A good diagnostic meaning it’s likely a configuration issue, since both do the same thing.
Give us an idea of what’s not working… What is all wonky?
If you don’t mind, you can drop your .lbrn2 file here and we’ll look at it for anything that may cause an all wonky condition to arise.
What I should have said instead of “wonky” is it looks like the laser has skipped and started engraving in areas that it should not be engraving. But as I mentioned, it is only when I upgrade to the newest version of lightburn. adding photos
Your screen shots with a camera are “all wonky”.
Here is a useful little trick to do good screenshots with your computer: hold down the Windows key and the Shift one, and S.
The screen will be grayed out and you can drag the mouse around the area you want to copy.
You will get a screenshot that you can paste in a graphics editor, or even directly in your message (good forum!).
Actually, I can see the wonky part in the first picture: the script word is cut in half horizontally with a missing bit between the two parts and an offset to the right for the second part (and more parts, actually).
Maybe it is a problem of configuration of your laser, if the preview is OK.
Have you tried running a different file?
If it is producing the same errors on two different machines there is a pretty good chance the file is corrupt.
