I’ve almost run through a 20.00 piece of leather today trying to figure out the best method. I’ve got the engraving down but I mess it up trying to cut it. It burns the crap out of it. On my 60w I’ve got the cut set to 15 power 45 speed, 2 passes and it burns out terribly. Any tips and tricks, I’m trying to do so leather patches on hats. Is there a certain type of leather that works better than others?
i’m a complete noob and have only a few test burns myself and I probably am wrong with this but given what you said I would try less power and a few more passes. could not hurt. maybe. say half the power and twice the passes and see if you can narrow it down. I am sure there are many people here that would know for certain.
