Do you have any tips on engraving bare aluminum? Like speeds and max / min power settings? I have a Tounjen laser machine. Thanks.
Co2 lasers of this class cannot mark metals…
You can use some kind of spray that creates a molecular bond with the metal from the heat.
LBT100 and Cermark are a couple.
Aluminum reflects over 99% of the power a co2 laser hits it with…
This is done on stainless using LBT100

Thanks for the reply on this. I’ve heard of Brilliance Laser Ink that is used like a spray paint that washes off with water after etching. I think I’ll give that a shot. I appreciate the feedback.
There is more than one… I’ve use LBt100 and many people use Cermark, so I just suggested those.
Engraving on aluminum requires something like a fiber laser…
