when im using my omtech laser the image automatically cuts/engraves backwards, even though in lightburn, the image is facing the correct way. If the machine is engraving backwards, could that also be the reason it’s homing in the wrong direction and crashing into the programmed home position? Also, when I press the left arrow ( In Lightburn) the laser head moves right. When I press the up button it moves down. What is the solution? SPECS: Omtech k40 +, GRBL, USB, Windows 11
Where did you set the origin? You need to set it back-left for the K40+.
Where is it homing to? Back-left would be ok. Is it somewhere else?
You have the K40+?
GRBL controller, I just tested with my Sculpfun and @misken is right. Home corner selected wrong (rear-right on mine) will reverse the Jog directions.
No, you told it to be rear-right, but that’s incorrect. You need to set the origin to rear-left. Then start over.
Additionally, grbl-LPC is incorrect as device type. Add it as plain grbl. (At least as long as they didn’t change the mainboards, my K40+ is a little bit older
)
Yes, I have K40+
Good! We now have a valid reference source.
