Engraving for monograms projection

Hello everyone I’ve been using light burn to make these projection (monograms) gobo’s, that’ll go in my gobo projection, I’ve cut a circular clear perspex overall circular disc area of 54mm 3mm thick spray one side black a few times. What should be happening, is that I want to engrave only the parts I want light to shine through and not engrave the prayed black bits.

But what is happening is lightburn is engraving the black paint off, the parts in black shouldn’t be engraved off only the white bits from the image I have tried invert but doesnt work.

Also I have to resize the image, area to 39.750mm so I trace the image first then resize it to kee the aspect ratio. How then do I acheive this doing it this way or the from the first way using the image. I have attached a file so you can get a idea of what I’m trying to do
any help and advice would be gret thanks

Oh I forgot to mention the image I’m using is from the internet and is converted already designed and to svg file

It would be nice to examine your .lbrn2 file, if that’s not a problem.

Is this really an svg file or is it a png/jpeg type masquerading as an svg? When you load it, does the cut/layer show it as ‘line’ or ‘image’?

Are you trying to engrave it as an svg, in ‘line’ mode.?

I have no clue about the ‘prayed black bits’ and how they relate…

A couple of photos of the problem would be nice…
