Engraving images on wood 2018 to 2025

Same image

1st was done 2018 with 2.5 watt Eleksmaker Using Laser GRBL

No help from anyone back then ( I thought not bad as nothing to compare to as most people just doing vectors )

All from trial and error then

And no programs to convert

2nd Done today with UV using LightBurn

Both on maple wood

It looks great. It’s crazy that I just came here to try to get some advice on and engraving that I am having issues with.

UV is some crazy magic for sure. I am seeing more and more awesome work done with UV.

Maybe I will get a UV laser when I can invest that much.

Which one do you have? I do want to get one because of all the good things I have seen and heard.

Again? Nicky? Wow! You continue to impress. The latest (your new UV work) is amazing, friend. Thank you for continuing to include us all on your journey. :hugs:

Mr. Norton, Sir (you deserve a title)

Superb work!

What is keeping me from buying one is I have no space for it, and a son that is keeping me from buying too many toys. :rofl:

These images are amazing, I would like to attempt something like these using images from my son’s wedding pics, I have a 20 watt (output) Atom stack laser head, what settings would you suggest to be a starting point.
Many Thanks in advance.
John

@JohnMus Thank you
for a 20 watt diode
You would probably only use 212 DPI
Faster speeds

Love Charles Bronson. Met him and Henry Fonda once in Utah while he was making “Once upon a time in the west” That UV is really nice but the first one is pretty good too all things considered

@porter2458
Holy Crap :smiley:
Get autographs

Amazing pics :star_struck: What size are the pictures? I practice 10cm x 10cm (4” x 4”) plywood. Anyway, WOW!
