Engraving large format images split in to smaller pieces

Hi folks, as the title already says, I have a project in mind that includes engraving and cutting a large image (map, let’s say 1,5m x 2,5m).

Now I have not done anything similar so far and have two issues.

1. How to split a large image into smaller ones (that will fit in the laser - 40x40cm) so at the end I can combine them into one large image as seamlessly as possible.

2. Any recommendations where I could find downloadable maps files of desired sizes?

Making it manually, finding and downloading directly the parts of map is really not a possibility as this way I could not avoid overlaps or gaps between each individual part, which would ruin the whole work. Thanks

Try to get the template as vector file, then resizing is no issue.
I think many people use https://snazzymaps.com/, but I did not personally test it.
