Is there way to keep the text layer from burning through the image layer. Currently the image layer burns then the text layer but you can see the text layer image burned into image layer where they over lap. Appreciate any help…
Can you upload the file? I think you can do it with mask.

Make offset around your text. Place offset then make box, circle etc. around image. Group them and then select image. You should then get apply mask option in context window.
