engraving shapes stretched

Hi, I have a little problem.
I have a Falcon 10W, these are my first steps with the machine

When I make a perfect circle and send it to cut, the result is deformed, elongated on the Y axis.

How can I solve that?

90% of the time folks have recently left Rotary Mode engaged in Laser tools.

If you’ve recently used a Rotary tool, or unintentionally activated this mode, please shut it off by clicking Laser Tools - and switching the Enable Rotary switch to the off position.

If it’s something else, we’ll take the next steps.

Not in my case

The next thing to check is system settings.

With a GRBL engraver you can often get the System settings.
With LightBurn running and your laser engraver on and connected to LightBurn please enter the following request into the Console window in LightBurn:
$$
then press enter.

Please copy and paste that report into a reply here.

The X-Axis and Y-Axis often have the same type of electric stepper motor and same type of drive belt. Most often the motion information in the controller is the same for each axis.

ok

The motion information is the same for each axis. This is common and it can contribute to motion loss.

For the Shape you are engraving, What are the speed and power settings?

Please also note the units of speed, (mm/minute, inch per second). Incorrectly setting the units is a readily overlooked and common pitfall when getting started.

If the Speed settings are too high, the axis that is heavier or harder to move will slip first. This is usually the Y-Axis.

Please share a picture of the stretched shape that was created.

The picture will share details that are often challenging to describe.
