There is a lot of difference with the different angles but they are also different from material to material. In combination with different line spacing and crosshatch, you can get nice effects on your material, especially for relatively large surfaces / objects. I can only recommend you to use some different material types and run some tests. Surface treatment before and after engraving is also a little science in itself. Slate engraving for the very first time

After reading many good posts here in the LightBurn forum about slate engraving, I have tried it myself, for the very first time. I have collected this slate tile from a dilapidated house which is at least 300 years old. It was used to protect the woodwork from snow and rain. I only have one and this one I turned into a gift. Not Over Scanning when engraving on an angle

I have the OmTech 50 Watt engraver with a Ruida Controller. Over Scanning works when engraving at 90 degrees, but does not work when engraving on an angle (see atch photo). Is there a way to adjust this in Lightburn to stop the burning on the edges? [Door Hanger]
