Error 15...outside work area

After setting up and doing test engraves on various materials, about 2-3 hours out of the blue I am getting the inevitable error 15. I have rebooted machine and PC numerous times, I have tried 3 or 4 differant new USB cabels. I have uninstalled Lightburn and re-installed again. No changes, still get the error.

One thing I do not understand is, if I uninstall Lightburn from my PC, then reboot Pc and re install LB. How are the settings from previous machine saved? Are they saved on the control board? How do I remove these settings and start fresh with a new set up? Will this remove the error 15?

It is a generic control board with 1.1F purchased off Amazon.

I have googled and also read in the Lightburn documents but nothing suggested there solves the issue

That is because your issue is a program design error. Nothing you listed above would solve that.

We know nothing about your project or Lightburn settings.

  1. Is it a vector (Line) or an image?
  2. What coordinate setting are you using? We STRONGLY suggest Absolute Coords, especially when first starting out.
  3. Can you upload the Lightburn (.lbrn2) file that throws the Alarm 15 so we can investigate?

Everyone always figures it is a design error, I do Not have any files or designes loaded.

I can boot pc, power up machine and open Lightburn, and I get this error.

When I look at the $$ setting they are messed up. What does it take to get proper $$ setings? Can I import these ? I do not have a backup.

You have a whole bunch of 0’s in your settings. No idea how you got there. Thes parameters all need values. I don’t know what other parameters are wrong, but these jump out.

Ya i know they are messed up, dont know how they got that way. I removed device, uninstalled lightburn and reset the board and these settings keep coming back.

I get the the obvious answers that I already know. I do appreciate replies tho.

These settings are in your controller, Lightburn has nothing to do with them other than being one way to write them. Try entering this in the console. I don’t know if it will fix your issue or not, but it can’t hurt to try at this point.
$RST=$

Thank you for the $RST=$ suggestion, I was able to make all the proper settings.

I do have one small problem…The transvers lines between letters of text are engraving.

I think this usually solves that
