I am using the latest version of LightBurn and an Ortur LM3 without any problems till today.
I get an error message
ALARM:2
G-code motion target exceeds machine travel. Machine position safely retained. Alarm may be unlocked. (Right-click the ‘Devices’ button to reset the connection) On or near line 3:
The job is 220mm x 240mm so its smaller than the bed size.
If you are engraving a Filled closed shape or an Image, overscan can be a cause for this.
In LightBurn, click the Icon that looks like a Flat Panel Monitor in the top middle of the toolbar. This launches a preview feature that simulates the machine area and the commands being sent to the engraver.
Red lines show the traversal moves where the machine moves but does not engrave (if the Show traversal moves switch is enabled).
The most often seen cause for the Alarm:2 here is the overscan going outside the work area.
The easiest way to reduce the overscan is to reduce the speed and power of your engraving. Reducing the size of the engraving is a good option if you’re in a hurry.
