So i recently uploaded the new version of the software. Since this happened I have not been able to use the laser. I will have intermitant use of the laser and then out of the blue it wont do anything. I get this message bellow:
“There was a problem sending data to the laser. The machine may be busy or paused.”
I have tried what i can removed the USB restarted machine, computer, deleted the software and still the same issue.
The USB connection on most of these is a short jumper from the case to the controller. I’d plug it directly into the controller… Uses a differnt end.. I think its a standard B Type.
I’ve had this happen, the only way I found to prevent it, is to dump the USB connection and run it through my lan. Been running that way over 5 years… A week or two dealing with USB, I had a major hair loss.
You can plug it into a router or a wifi device such as the Lightburn bridge or something like a TP-Link wifi bridge. The Lightburn bridge has a software layer to help deal with Ruida use of UDP. If you have a Raspberry PI laying around, the software is free from Lightburn
Hey, Jack… do you have a set of drawings for that stand you’d be willing to share? How high does it bring the unit up to? Looks like we have almost identically-sized machines (mine’s a K40)…
Have a leak that appears when the door is open for a long period… I’m going to end up replacing the tubing, I think… It’s got a hose clamp on it, but it has plastic male nipples to push on the hose.
I don’t have a drawing for the metal stand, sorry. Just picked up some steel tubing and built it.
