I am newer to laser engraving but I will do my best to express the situation. My husband got me a new AtomStack a48 for my birthday and I followed the instructions that state turn off auto homing. I have followed everything and I can not get it to engrave or even do a test i keep getting this message :
Grbl C10-0130-V1003 [‘$’ for help]
[MSG:Check limits]
[MSG:‘$H’|‘$X’ to unlock]
[MSG:Caution: Unlocked]
This is saying the drives are unlocked and ready(?) for travel.
Without Homing switches, power it up in the front left corner. Then can you Jog it around using the Move window?
Yes i can manually move it and I can even frame but as soon as i hit start it beeps twice and i get this messageGrbl C10-0130-V1003 [‘$’ for help]

Upload a screenshot of your entire lightburn screen with laser tab and cuts/layers tab open for us to look at.

After you do what @thelmuth says, change the power on your burn to 5% and see if it runs.
