Esp32 controller -can I set up wifi?

Hey everyone,

Im fairly new to the world of lasers and GRBL. Slowly feeling my around everything! Lol

I purchased a lasertree k1 pro not too long ago, and decided to attach the controller outside the enclosure.
When i removed the controller, i noticed its a little esp32 board. Is there any way to ‘turn on’ wifi, or reflash GRBL to actavate wifi? In the console it just says msg: nowifi

I was also curious about the ‘mode port’ on the board (top left), anyone know what this would do/be for? Again more out of curioisty than anything else… surprised how diffucult it is to find any technical infomation for these pre built boards

Thanks all

I haven’t used this controller myself but I’d start with our documentation and let us know how it goes:

Thanks Jess, im fairly familar with setting up wifi on lightburn as i did it wath a recent comgrow laser (my brother’s laser, which is what convinced me to get one haha.) The issue is,the laser doesnt support wifi, however it has an esp32 board which does have wifi and bluetooth. There is also an attenna connector on the board. Im guessing the firmware just doesnt have wifi configured/enabled. Wondered if i could edit the firmware in vscode and reflash like a standard ver of GRBL or something like this to ‘turn on’ the feature. Or am I totally wildly off the mark? haha.
