Etching glass with color using a diode laser

Is there anyway to etch glass with color before, during or after using a diode laser?

A visible color diode will not etch glass. It takes an indirect method to do that…

I have no idea about being able to acid etch colors… So I’m of no help here…

Painted or coated glass will not work either. The glass fractures under the laser beam and any color will just flake off.

Thank Guys. Just seen different engraved glass mugs with color so thought I’d ask. Just have to stay with the frosted/white look. :grinning: :upside_down_face:

You can get black if you use the Norton white tile method on glass (titanium dioxide).
Takes a bit of testing to get it right.
