Everything Worked Perfectly until tonight

Sculpfun S30 out of the box-no alterations, Windows 11, LB up to date.

Why has this started happening? I haven’t done anything different that I am aware of.

.LBR is not a normal LightBurn file extension as far as I’m aware. The standard LightBurn extensions are .LBRN and .LBRN2.

Are you certain that the file you are attempting to open is one created in LightBurn and previously opened in LightBurn?

If uncertain, I’d suggest trying to create a new file, saving it, and reopening as a test.

Yep, all files were created in LightBurn and saved from lb. I tried recreating it and it did the same thing, it didn’t help.

Can you upload a simple newly created file here for review?

Also, it looks like you’re referencing a drive in a DropBox. Not sure why but it looks like it’s limiting the file description to 8.3 format. Can you try saving to a non DropBox folder?

By the way, if you’re not familiar, there are known issues with using LightBurn with files stored on cloud storage folders. You may want to reconsider working directly with files stored there. Backing up to cloud storage is not an issue, only directly accessing.

HUZZAH! Thats gotta be it! I was not intentionally pulling from Dropbox, nor did I intentionally save to Dropbox, but apparently my laptop has a mind of its own! It has done that to me before without asking first. Bad laptop, bad! …TY!
