I keep seeing lasergrbl in a lot of posts and wondering what it is and how it fits in with LB.

LaserGRBL is an entirely separate and independent laser control software from LightBurn. It’s often mentioned here due to its popularity and as a reference.
In contrast to LightBurn, the software is free and open source with a focus more on simplicity and laser control and has comparatively little design capability.
LaserGRBL primarily supports GRBL based controllers with experimental support for Marlin, Smoothie, and VigoWork. DSP and galvo controllers are not supported.
