I am having an issue with Exporting SVG’s on my MacBook. I go to export it and it isn’t doing anything. The file doesn’t show up in the selected folder and is not findable anywhere on my computer.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!

Using version 1.7.08 I am finding success exporting an SVG file. I am given a dialog to select a location to store the file and works as expected. I do note when searching using ‘SpotLight’, the SVG files can show up as ‘Photos’.
Which version are you using on which OS? Do you see the file if you navigate to where it was saved using Finder?
I am using macOS Sequoia 15.1.1
I get a similar dialog, and I do everything from naming the file to choosing to save it as an SVG file, but when I hit save the window goes away and the file isn’t saved.
Which version of LightBurn are you using to do this export?
I am using version 1.7.08
Thank you for updating. This is the first report of this. I am still investigating as I am unable to reproduce this behavior.
I would try again with a simple shape and export using an easy to remember name on the desktop so you know exactly where it is to confirm what you are experiencing.
I’m using the latest version of the Pre-Release and it exports just fine.
Also works well with 1.7.08.
Update, I can save SVG’s to my desktop but not to a folder for whatever reason. So that’s one small step. I think it has something to do with app permissions or whatever. Any insight on that?
Not without seeing how you currently have set for permissions on the folder you intend to write to.
I see the following when I try to write to a folder without permissions.
I did note an issue where I am not receiving a similar message when trying to Export a file, so checking with our devs on that part.
For now, I would create a new folder you know you have write permissions and save your exports there.
Update: Checking in with Oz, we have generated a report to address the lack of error message - pop up an error if the Export fails.
As a potential workaround, can you first try opening a file from that location? That may force a system dialog about granting folder access.
I can export an SVG from LightBurn to any directory (folder) on my Mac Studio. This includes my startup drive or any external drives.
Same results on my MacBook Air.
