I initially installed LightBurn on my laptop running Windows. While using the program, I noticed an “Extend Trial” button. Out of curiosity, I pressed it, and my trial period extended to 77 days. Later, because Windows 10 was too heavy for my laptop, I installed Linux Mint, wiping everything in the process. I then reinstalled LightBurn, but this time the “Extend Trial” button was grayed out.
Is there some kind of hardware, profile, IP, or MAC address tracking involved with trial extensions? If this is confidential information, I completely understand if you can’t answer. I’m likely to buy the software when my trial ends since I don’t want to learn a new program. I just found the trial behavior a bit strange and wanted to ask.
