Long time user of Ezcad3 on my galvo fiber and have been waiting for the a long time to be able move all my work flow to Lighburn.
When I install the latest version of Libghtnburn I’m able to see the jpt fiber laser I’ve imported the cor and mkcfg and I’m able to frame a square for a quick test but when I hit start it doens’t seem to fire the laser. just a quick blip
I have multiple lens set up in Ezcad3 so wasn’t 100% sure which of the cor or mkcg files. Also with the fiber that I have it’s a motorized z axis to home and then focus. I haven’t dug real deep but is there a method to focus thru Lightburn sofwtare currently or ?
Appreciate any thoughts or if there is a guide out there please point me that direction if it’s easier
The markcfg file holds information such as the type of control board and it’s settings and what source it’s using. It also contains correction information on the lens shipped with it.
If you just change lenses you still need to laod the markcfg file, then a cor (correction) file for each lens.
I use EZCad2, but I have to assume they are similar. I bought mine with an F420mm lens and only need to load the markcfg7 file, as the lens correction is contain within.
I have three more lenses, I make a different device for each lens. I name then after the lens they are setup for. JCZ-F254mm for my F254mm lens.
I have to load the markcfg7 file to setup the machine, then I load the cor file for lens correction.
Each lens has it’s own aberrations, so you need a cor file to make these corrections.
