To the LightBurn Development Team,
I am writing to request a small UI addition regarding the Interval Test Generator, or to get clarification in case I missed a hidden setting.
Unlike standard cut tests, interval tests are exclusively used to fine-tune engraving line intervals. In almost all engraving applications, Air Assist is intentionally turned off to prevent soot and residue from blowing back onto the rastered surface.
However, the current Interval Test generator automatically injects the M8 (Air Assist ON) command into the test run. While the standard Material Test window allows users to adjust layer parameters, I cannot find any toggle or checkbox inside the Interval Test setup dialog to turn Air Assist off. For multi-head setups where the pump stays wired to the controller board, this forces the pump to run unnecessarily during the test.
Could you please add an “Enable Air Assist” toggle switch directly to the Interval Test setup window? Or, if this option already exists somewhere in the current version, could you please point out where I can disable it for these test runs?
Thank you for your help and continuous work on LightBurn!
