Hello to all and developers. I was not sure where to post this but this was my choice. I have a feature request which would of been to complicated for me to explain so I made this video. Thank you for taking your time out to see this idea. It might be useful to you. My goal is for the lightburn developers to see it. Thank you again.

The concept is “center line trace” and apparently requires a complex algorithm to handle all the edge cases.

Until it arrives in LightBurn, you can use Inkscape to get the job done without sending money to Adobe:

Computing the Medial Axis is something we’ve had one of our “moon-shot” coders on for several months now. It’s a relatively simple thing to explain, but really damn hard to get a computer to do it cleanly and quickly.

I think they are basically the same thing. Solve one and you solve the other.

Or just pay the guy from Inkscape to give you the code. Disclaimer-I know nothing about programming.

We can’t - InkScape uses an open source project called AutoTrace, and that uses a license model that would require us to open source LightBurn if we used it.
